Bhoot: Part One - The Haunted Ship Movie Review : Far from a scarefest
Despite a Mahashivratri holiday, ‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ did not open well on its first day. However, the film being from the horror genre makes it a niche one that may not garner as much attention from the audience as an action or romantic film would. However, with the 10 per cent increase in collections, Vicky Kaushal’s film will now stay in the race as it continues to clash with Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. The report estimates a growth of not more than 10 per cent on Sunday and says that Monday will be crucial for the film to get in more numbers at the box office. As of now, the film has earned a total of around Rs 10.50 crore on Friday and Saturday.
‘Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship’ stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role while Bhumi Pednekar appears in a cameo. Directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, the horror film is based on true events. The plot revolves around an unnamed ship washes ashore in Mumbai. Prithvi played by Vicky, is the surveying officer of Seabird, the unmanned ship. During his investigation of what exactly went around on the ship, Vicky is seen tacking a spirit. The film hit the theatres on February 21.
